THE BARBELLE METHOD

Our personal training facility in the heart of Scarborough  town centre is built for busy adults who want real results — without the pressure, confusion, or gym anxiety. Lift, move, and sweat in ways that make sense for you with our specifically designed strength and separate conditioning sessions. At Barbelle, our sessions help you build strength, improve cardio, and feel more capable and perform better every day — inside and outside the gym.

STRENGTH

Develop strength, power, and endurance with strength sessions that combine functional movements and targeted muscle training. We focus on improving technique, mobility, and overall performance to help you move better and perform at your best.

CONDITIONING

We offer a variety of conditioning sessions aimed at challenging you  with a mix of high and low intensity workouts, but all focused on improving cardiovascular fitness and helping you feel stronger and more energized.


YOUR PROGRAMME

WHAT YOU GET WITHIN YOUR MEMBERSHIP:

  • We recommend 2-3 per week. This is where we will focus on getting you moving better and feeling stronger.

  • We advise that you give at least a couple of these a go by the end of your time with us but ask us if you are unsure! If you are a complete beginner we reckon you prioritise the strength sessions for your first couple of weeks. A great way to get to know other members.

  • You will be assigned to Jess, our head of new starters, who will check in with you weekly, answer any questions and just be there to support you through your journey with us. This will be done by email so please check & respond regularly. Communication here is key at this stage of your journey.

  • We realise that everyone is at a different stage of their fitness journey, therefore we don't have one way of doing things - we will meet you where you are at and give you as much or as little help as you need and want.

  • The InBody takes a full body composition test in less than 1 minute. With no pinching, and a none-intrusive approach, we are able to measure your current:

    • Body Fat

    • Lean Muscle Mass

    • Water Weight

    • Overall Health Score

    This allows us to keep track of your body composition progress. We recommend you do these every 4-6 weeks.. These are non compulsory but a good guide to see your starting point.

  • Myzone is an innovative wearable heart rate based system that uses wireless based technology to accurately monitor physical activity. It is highly successful due to its accuracy at 99.4%. Myzone monitors heart rate, calories and time exercising in real time.

    We supply the belts at cost price so if you are interested then let one of us know!

With personal training that meets you where you are, you can feel stronger, leaner, and more confident with our 30 day new joiner programme. 

Our starter programme  is built for busy adults in Scarborough  who want structure, support and real results. You’ll get access to our strength sessions in addition to our  large group conditioning classes, as well as a personal support coach and nutrition advice. 

This isn’t just a quick fix. It’s the foundation for long-term change — delivered by coaches who care.
